Brewery Weihenstephan is the oldest brewery in the world. They claim 1040AD as their year of establishment, because they were officially recognized by the state that year. However, the have brewing records dating back as far as the late 700s. They say with age comes experience and brewery Weihenstephan is nearly a thousand years old. That means they have had a thousand years of experience to perfect their craft (or more, if you take their unofficial records into account)! Think they’ve learned a thing or two in that time? Absolutely. Their beers are benchmarks in nearly every expression of style. They also have a brewing academy that is a destination for aspiring brewers around the world.
On Tuesday, April 25th, we will be joined by brewery representative Tim Lynch to talk about this legendary brewery and guide us through their product range.
Some of the products we will be tasting include:
Vitus Weizen Bock
Kristall Weizenbock (new release)
Tasting will start at 8:00pm
Cost is $20
Come find out the caliber of what over a thousand years of brewing experience can produce.
